Assistant Principal Smith

I graduated from Central High School in Macon, Georgia, and completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Valdosta State University.  I earned my Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  This will be my fourth year as a member of the Butts County School System, and my first as an Assistant Principal for Daughtry Elementary School.

My husband and I currently live in Forsyth, Georgia, and enjoy many outdoor activities.  We love cheering for UGA, watching the Atlanta Braves and spending time with our twin daughters.

As a daughter of retired educators, I have a strong desire to continue to grow in the field of education.  In starting this new chapter as Assistant Principal, I will work hard to shape the success of Daughtry Elementary School for all students, teachers, parents, and community partners.  I believe that strong educational leaders strive for self-improvement and teach others that it is not about knowing everything, but the importance is in the journey to understand something new.
