Electronic Device Policy
Starting August 2025, students will no longer be permitted to access their personal electronic devices during the school day—from the moment they enter the building until dismissal. This includes lunch and transition periods.
This change is part of our commitment to providing a focused, distraction-free learning environment that supports academic growth, social connection, and student well-being. Our decision is grounded in research and feedback from staff and families, all pointing to the same conclusion: limiting device use during the school day allows students to be more engaged in class, form stronger peer relationships, and reduce stress associated with constant digital access.
We understand that personal electronic devices are part of daily life and serve many useful purposes. However, we believe that setting clear boundaries during school hours will help students better focus on learning and build stronger interpersonal skills.
Students with approved accommodations in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or medical plan will continue to have access as needed.
